SPIRIT MOUNTAIN, DULUTH MN
Whatever you believe in life, there are some things that feel like they were just carefully put together by the universe.
Anna's mom Judy was attending a bridal show at Spirit Mountain - and trying to help her daughter find a wedding photographer. Unbeknownst at the time to me, Anna was struggling to find somebody who was what she needed. Somebody who knew what mattered at weddings. Somebody who knew how to have fun. Somebody who wouldn't feel stiff or forced.
So when Judy stepped in front of me, told me about her daughter in Colorado, and asked me for a card, I was excited. But I didn't know what A+R would gift me with.
A flight to Colorado and a long rental car drive through the mountains to Great Sand Dunes National. Waking up to sunrise with mountains and sand in my face and everything that should have been unpleasant - but somehow, wasn't too bad. A sunrise beer™ and getting to know two incredibly passionate people.
A Minnesota wedding that had 95% of the images involving people. Triumph through rain adversity because, what the heck, all of these people love you anyway. Parents in near-tears and faraway travelers and just seeing the look on their faces when they read vows to each other because DAMN.
A freaking amazing dance floor and the desire to stay longer than I'm supposed to, because why the hell not.
And so much more.
